AI poses a "fork-in-the-road" for our society right now. There are benefits to AI — improved health diagnostics, quicker data synthesization, and a larger access to information. However, AI will likely cause job displacement, poses various environmental threats, and stiffles our abilities to produce work with a voice that is ours, not a chatbot's.
